Hallie and Jay’s Romantic Mykonos Elopement

There’s something so magical about Mykonos. The whitewashed walls, bright blue doors, and salty breeze make it feel like pure freedom. Hallie and Jay’s intimate wedding in Greece was the kind of day that felt straight out of a dream. From a peaceful morning at their private villa to running into the Aegean Sea fully clothed at sunset, it was a day filled with love, laughter, and pure joy.

Red Lipstick, Handwritten Vows, Hotel Room Magic-The Perfect Getting Ready Moments

Hallie and Jay stayed at the beautiful Deos Hotel, a modern and stunning space perched above the Aegean with those classic whitewashed walls that Mykonos is known for. Their room was incredible, complete with its own private pool overlooking the ocean. It was the perfect place to start such a special day.

Hallie’s hair and makeup team arrived early and transformed her into an absolute goddess of a bride. The morning light poured into the room as she slipped into her gown, glowing with excitement and calm all at once. Just outside on their private deck, Jay sat by the pool writing his vows, the soft sound of the waves below making it all feel peaceful and surreal.

First Looks, Windswept Veil, Whitewashed Walls

Once they were both ready, we headed to a beautiful lookout spot at the hotel for their first look. The moment Jay turned around, his face said it all, pure awe and love. The wind was wild, playful, and had a mind of its own, especially with Hallie’s veil flying dramatically around them. It felt like the island itself was celebrating along with them.

They laughed, hugged, and soaked in the moment, the wind whipping, the sun shining, and the Aegean stretching endlessly behind them.

Lost in Alleys, Found in Fame in the Town of Mykonos

After their first look, we made our way into the town of Mykonos. The narrow alleys were alive with the sound of chatter and the buzz of excitement. Locals and tourists smiled and congratulated them as we wandered through the cobblestone streets, it was like they were celebrities for the day.

We stopped at bright red and blue doors scattered among the whitewashed walls, took photos near the little churches tucked between the alleys, and let the town guide us. Every corner seemed more photogenic than the last, and it’s no wonder Mykonos is one of the most iconic wedding destinations in Greece.

From the charming streets, we headed toward the famous Mykonos windmills where the wind whipped around us again and the ocean sparkled below. It was pure magic, laughter, movement, and joy all wrapped up in one.

Boat Rides, Seaside Promises, Sandy Kisses in Soaking Clothes

The adventure continued as we boarded a private boat that took Hallie and Jay to a secluded beach. Waiting for them was the most romantic setup, a private chef and a beautifully styled picnic complete with a four course meal. It was the perfect way to slow down, savor the moment, and just be together.

As the sun began to set, they stood barefoot in the sand surrounded by golden light and exchanged their vows and rings. The waves crashed softly nearby, and it felt like time stood still.

To end their perfect day, they ran into the ocean fully clothed, laughing, splashing, and completely free. It was the perfect ending to a day that felt completely and utterly like them.

Polaroids to Remember It All

Before I left, I created a little set of Polaroids for Hallie and Jay to take home with them. They were a mix of moments from throughout the day, from the laughter during their first look to the sun setting behind them on the beach. There’s something so timeless about holding those instant prints in your hands, especially after such a beautiful day. It was the perfect keepsake for them to look back on while still in Greece and remember just how magical their wedding day truly was.
