Wedding and Elopement Photographer

Red rock arches, slot canyons, and desert light that turns to fire at sunset. For the couple who wants their vows somewhere vast and wild.

Your Wedding Day, Not a Photoshoot

A stretch of coast that no venue could ever match.

Utah is one of my favorite places on earth to document a wedding day. Moab's arches and canyons, Zion's soaring red walls, the alpine meadows above Salt Lake, each one gives you a backdrop no venue ever could.

Eloping here means trading the guest list and the seating chart for vows, a view, and each other. No stiff poses. No fake smiles. I believe in directing, not posing, so you can be fully present while I document the real thing, the way you look at each other, the nervous laugh before the vows, the stillness right after.

When you hire me for your Utah elopement, you are hiring someone who will handle the permits, the timing, and the logistics of the desert and the high country, so the day feels calm and effortless instead of overwhelming.

Your Wedding Day is Not a Photoshoot

Your wedding day is more than just a photoshoot, it’s a reflection of your love, filled with meaningful moments that truly matter. You deserve a celebration that feels effortless, intimate, and filled with pure joy.

Your day should be a true expression of your love story, one where every moment is felt, cherished, and lived fully. It’s about being present with the one who means the most, embracing the emotions, and experiencing one of life’s most beautiful milestones in a way that feels authentic to you.

First light setting the red rock glowing as the sun clears the mesa. The hush of a slot canyon, cool and still, hours before the crowds arrive. Desert sky stretching wide in every direction, and evening light that turns the arches to fire. A morning in Utah means trading the long guest list and the endless checklist for vows, a vast and ancient stretch of desert, and each other.

Utah Awaits.
Let’s create some memories.

Utah is where I learned to love wild places.

Before I ever picked up a camera, Utah was already was a place that held my heart.

My grandparents had a ranch between Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon National Park, outside a small town that you would drive right through without even blinking.

Several times a year my family would make the drive out, and I would spend every daylight hour exploring, the big parks everyone knows and the tiny, beautiful, unknown corners almost no one does. The slot canyons without names on the map. The overlooks you only find because your grandfather knew the way.

Some places you visit. This one I grew up in.

"Julia was an absolute delight!! She was our elopement photographer out in Utah and oh what a day we had shooting together. She had not only picked the locations for us but also had checked them out before we even got there. Julia is a patient photographer. We had some hiccups and she just rolled with it. Spending a day with out in the park could be a lot but her pleasant personality and great love for her work put us at ease right away. Her deep love for outdoors is quite apparent in her work but we got to see it first hand. Actually it was quite inspiring !! Thanks for the best memories!"

"We can’t say enough wonderful things about Julia, who captured our elopement. From start to finish, she was an absolute. She not only scouted and took us to the most breathtaking locations, but also planned out our entire day so that everything flowed seamlessly. She truly captured every moment in a magical way, from the grandeur of the landscapes to the intimate emotions we felt. We feel so lucky to have met her! What made the experience even more special was how comfortable she made us feel. We never felt awkward or unsure; she guided us just enough, but also let our natural interactions shine through. Every detail, every laugh, was captured beautifully. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience or more stunning photos. We’re so grateful to have these memories!"

"My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Julia to capture an anniversary shoot near Monument Valley. We cannot say enough good things about her and her talents! What sets her apart is her unwavering commitment to her clients. The day we were supposed to shoot, it rained during our scheduled time and they closed the road to Monument Valley. Always prepared, she did additional research before arriving, knowing there was a possibility the weather would not cooperate. What could have been a disastrous shoot turned into one of our greatest experiences as a couple. Adding, her warmth and friendliness will put you at ease instantly, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, allowing even the shyest individuals to shine in front of the camera. Julia understands the art of angles and lighting, capturing both posed and candid moments from unique perspectives that add a magical and appealing touch to each photograph. Her shots are truly incredible! "

"Julia our photographer for our elopement in Moab. She clearly did a lot of location scouting to meet our preference of secluded places we could bring our dog and sent us some options over the months leading up to the day. Neither of us had had any professional photos taken and she made us comfortable and gave direction that felt natural and easy. The day of our elopement was hotter than expected and she adjusted the plan and we went to a different first location but her communication around this was awesome. She arrived early and kept us on schedule throughout the day! It felt like we had a private tour guide of beautiful desert locations instead of a photoshoot. The day was truly perfect and the photos came out incredible. She got a (pretty large) sneak peek to us and the rest of the photos weren't too far behind! Highly highly recommend :)"

"Julia was an absolute dream to work with for our elopement. From the very beginning, she was professional, creative, and incredibly easygoing, exactly the kind of energy you want on such an important day. My husband and I aren’t usually comfortable in front of the camera, but Julia made the entire experience feel natural and fun as we explored the stunning mountain landscapes together. Her eye for detail and ability to capture genuine emotion truly blew us away. Every photo tells a story and reflects the love and joy we felt throughout the day. If you’re planning an elopement, I highly recommend booking Julia for more than one day to have extra time at each location and get an even greater variety of breathtaking shots. We couldn’t be happier with our experience and will treasure these photos forever."
