An Intimate Dillon Beach Micro Wedding

There is something so special about a wedding day that is centered entirely around the people who matter most. No rush, no pressure, just time to be present, to celebrate, and to really take it all in.

Jane and Eric’s micro wedding at Dillon Beach was exactly that.

They wanted a day that felt intimate, meaningful, and true to them. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, they chose the beautiful coastal town of Dillon Beach on the California coast for their wedding. It’s one of those places that feels peaceful and tucked away, with endless ocean views and that soft coastal light that makes everything feel a little more magical.

A Coastal Airbnb Wedding at Dillon Beach

For their wedding day, Jane and Eric rented a beautiful Airbnb overlooking the ocean. The home itself became the heart of the entire day. With incredible views of the shoreline and a warm, welcoming space inside, it was the perfect setting for a relaxed and intimate celebration.

One of my favorite things about Airbnb weddings like this is how everything happens in one place. There’s no rushing between locations. The whole day unfolds naturally, and it allows everyone to really settle in and enjoy each moment together.

Getting Ready With Friends

The morning started slowly and intentionally, with Jane getting ready alongside her closest friends. There’s something so special about those quiet getting ready moments, laughing together, helping each other, and just soaking in the excitement of the day.

Hair and makeup happened right there in the house, creating such a calm and personal environment.

Jane wore a beautiful, elegant, yet simple wedding outfit that felt so perfectly her. A pearl detailed top paired with a cream silk skirt that moved so effortlessly in the coastal breeze. It was timeless, understated, and absolutely stunning.

First Looks on the Cliffs

Just outside the Airbnb, the cliffs overlooked the ocean, creating the most incredible backdrop for their first looks.

Jane started with a first look with her parents, which was such an emotional and meaningful moment. You could feel how much love was there.

Then it was time for her first look with Eric.

On a bright, sunny day with the ocean stretching out behind them, they saw each other for the first time. It was quiet, emotional, and so full of joy. One of those moments where everything else fades away.

An Intimate Ceremony at Home

Instead of heading somewhere else, Jane and Eric chose to have their ceremony right inside the living room of the home.

And it couldn’t have been more perfect.

Behind them stood an incredible piece of art created by Jane’s father, adding such a deeply personal and meaningful element to the space. It made the ceremony feel even more intimate and connected to their story.

Surrounded by their closest people, they exchanged vows in a setting that felt warm, emotional, and completely their own.

A Celebration With the People Who Matter Most

After the ceremony, the day flowed effortlessly into celebration.

There were drinks, delicious food, heartfelt toasts, and so much laughter. The kind of celebration where everyone feels comfortable, connected, and fully present.

One of the most fun and unique touches was their custom fortune cookies, which added such a playful and personal detail to the day.

It was the perfect balance of meaningful and fun.

Sunset at the Beach

As the sun started to set, we made our way down to the beach.

Dillon Beach at sunset is truly something special. The light softens, the sky opens up, and everything feels calm and expansive.

Jane and Eric ran along the shoreline, explored the cliffs, and soaked in those final moments of their wedding day together. It was relaxed, joyful, and completely unposed in the best way.

The perfect ending to a perfect day.

Why Dillon Beach is Perfect for a Micro Wedding

Dillon Beach is such an incredible location for couples who want something intimate and coastal without the crowds of more popular California destinations.

It offers:

• stunning ocean views and cliffs
• quiet, peaceful beaches
• beautiful Airbnb options for hosting your day
• a relaxed and intimate atmosphere

It’s the kind of place where you can truly slow down and create a wedding day that feels intentional and personal.

A Wedding That Felt Like Them

Jane and Eric’s wedding was the perfect reminder that your day doesn’t have to be big to be meaningful.

It can be simple. It can be intimate. It can be centered around the people you love most and the moments that matter.

And sometimes, those are the weddings that feel the most unforgettable.

Big weddings aren’t for everyone. And eloping with just the two of you isn’t always the right fit either.

For a lot of couples, a micro wedding is the perfect balance. You get to celebrate with the people who matter most while still keeping the day intentional, relaxed, and truly about your experience.

If you’re dreaming of something like this, with a beautiful location, meaningful moments, and your closest people by your side, a micro wedding might be exactly what you’re looking for.
